HBMJ Consulting, LLC is a boutique consulting firm committed to providing innovative and impactful accounting and operations solutions, support, and counsel for institutions of all sizes and complexity in the alternative asset space. For over 19 years, premier financial institutions have relied on HBMJ to standardize and transform their business operations and accounting procedures, streamline workflows, automate processes, enhance reporting functionality, mitigate risk, and prepare them for overall growth and scale. Our main service categories include Accounting System Solutions (specializing in SS&C Advent Geneva® and FIS Investran systems), Back and Middle-Office Business Analysis and Solutions, Custom Reporting, Project Management, Staff Augmentation, and other support services. The Summer Analyst position will join the Ponte Vedra Beach team in Florida for 8 weeks and gain immediate exposure to marketing and business development within the finance and investment world.

Summer Analysts are expected to work a minimum of 40 hours per week and are competitively compensated.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Working towards a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year university
  (preferred majors include accounting, analytics, business management, economics, information systems, and finance)

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Demonstrated interested in finance, accounting and/or consulting

• Ability to work independently as well as on a team

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

• Experience with Advent Geneva, Investran, or another Portfolio Accounting system not required but is advantageous

DETAILS 

• Obtain in-depth knowledge of the alternative investments industry through client engagements detailing reconciliations, regression testing, portfolio accounting, project-based work, and more

• Collaborate with senior members to assist in ad-hoc support for our clients

• Garnish professional development through various aspects within the duration of the internship

• Navigate the consulting landscape with exposure to business lines across the private sector
